Nestled in the Eastern Desert near Luxor, Dabbabia Protected Area stands as a globally acclaimed geological landmark — the Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for the Paleocene–Eocene boundary. Officially designated as a protected area No. (27) in 2007, Dabbabia represents a natural archive of Earth’s history, offering scientists and visitors a rare glimpse into the dynamic transitions that shaped our planet over 55 million years ago.
